Local rides in the Helensburgh and Lomond area are priced from the Argyll & Bute Council taxi tariff, and distance, cross-border and worldwide transfers are priced on the route, vehicle size and pickup time. You see the full total — including any airport or meet-and-greet fee — on screen before you pay.

No. The quote includes the fare, VAT where it applies and any airport pickup fee (£10 standard, £25 meet-and-greet). Waiting time beyond the free allowance, an agreed extra stop, or a no-show charge are the only things that can be added, and each is shown in the terms before you book.

Yes. Local journeys are carried out in licensed taxis with licensed drivers, fully insured for hire and reward. Longer distance, cross-border and worldwide trips are covered by pre-booked private hire vehicles and licensed partner operators, each licensed for the area they operate in. Documents, insurance and licences are checked before any driver joins the network.

Can I book an 8-seater?

Yes. 8-seater vehicles are pre-booked private hire only and are mainly used for distance and airport work. Local licensed taxis carry up to 6 passengers, so tell us your group size when you book and we will allocate the right vehicle.

Do I have to pre-book, or can I book on the day?

Accepted Answer

Most journeys can be booked on the day if a driver is free, but pre-booking guarantees the vehicle. Airport transfers, group travel and cross-border trips should always be pre-booked. A small £0.40 pre-booking fee applies, and you can book online, by phone or on WhatsApp 24/7.

How far in advance should I book an airport transfer?

As early as you can — 24 to 48 hours is usually enough, and further ahead for early-morning flights, peak holiday dates and large groups. We track your flight number so pickups are adjusted automatically if the flight is early or delayed.

Yes. Cross-border journeys are arranged as pre-booked hires, which lets us dispatch a vehicle licensed for the area you are travelling to or from. That covers Scotland to England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and international runs through licensed partner operators worldwide.

You can pay online by card when you book, or settle with the driver by card, cash or bank transfer where that is offered. Fares can be shown and charged in your own currency, with the exchange rate displayed before payment. Business accounts can be invoiced instead.

For a cross-border trip, we can arrange a pre-booked vehicle that is licensed for the destination area, which helps avoid the local restrictions that would apply to a Helensburgh-licensed vehicle. All cross-border journeys must be booked in advance.

Each job is confirmed to a specific driver before travel — nothing is dispatched to an unvetted vehicle on the day.

Yes — cross-border work is pre-booked only, never a street hire. Inside the UK we run cross-border distance hires between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as standard. Between countries elsewhere (for example Ireland to Northern Ireland, or a mainland European city pair), the job is quoted individually so we can confirm the driver's licensing, insurance and any permits for the destination before we accept it. Give us as much notice as you can for these — same-day international requests often cannot be covered.

The terms are the same everywhere: £20 per week flat, 0% commission on fares booked through us (bookings that arrive via the Onde passenger app carry 10%). You upload your documents during sign-up and we verify them before activating your app account.
